Mestiza Booklet
Mestiza is a stunning collection of handbags and shoes that celebrates the rich heritage of Colombia’s Indigenous communities. This booklet showcases designs that seamlessly blend elegance, modernity, and the timeless traditions of Colombia’s native groups. Inspired by sacred animals like the frog and the serpent—symbols of Indigenous wisdom—the collection honors cultural roots while appealing to contemporary tastes. Each piece is named in Quechua, a native language, and in English, creating a unique bridge between tradition and global appreciation. Mestiza is more than a collection; it celebrates culture, craft, and identity.
Redesign of a Book Cover: The Bitch
This redesign focuses on the woman at the heart of the story, rather than the metaphor used by the author. The goal was to give a face to the protagonist, bringing her presence to the forefront. The background features lush vegetation, a nod to the tropical setting where the events unfold, adding depth and connection to the narrative’s environment. The result is a cover that captures both the character’s essence and the atmosphere of the story’s vibrant, yet complex world.
Culture’s Compass 2024
This redesign focuses on the woman at the heart of the story, Together with a teammate, we took on the exciting challenge of designing the logo, selecting the perfect colors, and choosing the right font for the Culture’s Compass 2024 website. Our goal was to create a visual identity that would resonate with the vibrant energy of the Global Toronto Music Festival (GTMF) 2024. This year’s festival brings together the best of Global Toronto and Small World Music, offering four days of electrifying performances and thought-provoking conversations. From the Aga Khan Museum to El Mocambo and Humber College, attendees will experience a festival like no other, rooted in equity and accessibility. To complement this, we’re also launching Compass Chronicles, a video series showcasing Toronto’s artistic talent and the stories behind the festival.
